The Magical History of Britain by Martin Wall is a good read that recaps what magic is and how it has influenced the history of Britain and its people.
Being more of an academic text with citations and references, this book is full of interesting and important information.
I personally found this book quite dry and heavy to read at points. The information itself is interesting, however the way it is presented means that I have to read little and less often. I find some areas are dragged out, while others are breezed over. I still haven’t finished this book because I get through these books by reading small amounts when I can. I will update this review once I have finished.
