Queering Your Craft is a lovely book by Cassandra Snow, outlining a lot of beginner topics such as magical timings, moon magick, sabbats, elemental magick, witchcraft 101, but it is so much more than the basics. This book is told through a queer LGBTQ+ lens, it is extremely accepting of all types of sexualities, genders, disabilities, and mental health conditions which not a lot of other books do. The book contains lots of unique spells to help fellow community members, it also contains really nice bits of cultural appropriation and white supremacy. I can honestly say it’s a one-of-a-kind book!
The book, although has VPG (verified personal gnosis) in a lot of places, it does contain many examples of UPG/SPG (unverified/shared personal gnosis), which I love but may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The correspondences included do not come with explanations, but rather brief lists, and there are no sources to verify the text included so cross-referencing is needed for these.
I think this book is an invaluable addition to anyone’s library but especially those coming from alternative or different backgrounds.
