Cartomancy in Folk Witchcraft by Roger J. Horne

Cartomancy in Folk Witchcraft: Divination, Magic, and Lore by Roger J. Horne.

Cartomancy by Roger J. Horne is a lovely short read, covering how to understand, read, and conjure playing cards. It is a great introductory book to using playing cards as Divination, contains lots of correspondences and is very nicely written and easy/fun to read. I personally am not well versed in divination using playing cards, so I really enjoyed this book.

It it quite a short read, requiring only an hour or so from start to finish, and contains only introductory level information and doesn’t go into much detail. This is great for absolute beginners of Cartomancy, however may not suit a reader who is seasoned in the topic. I acknowledge there is a new expanded edition that is double in size which I am excited to read! I will upload the new review once I have purchased and read it.
